Lorraine López, editor of An Angle of Vision, worked with a graduate student to create a Facebook “event” to launch the new book. The collection of essays by major women writers described various aspects of their experiences growing up poor. The “event” was the publishing of the book, but it spread rapidly, allowing people to “RSVP” to show their support. (Find it here.)
