Mai’a Davis Cross Wins UACES Award for ‘Security Integration in Europe’

We are proud to announce that Mai’a K. Davis Cross is the winner of tthe 2012  Best Book Prize from the University Association for Contemporary European Studies. The  UACES Award is given annually to the publication that has “made the most substantial and original contribution to knowledge in the area of contemporary European Studies”.

Security Integration in Europe: How Knowledge-based Networks are Transforming the European Union  follows five case studies in examination of an international community within the governments of the European Union,  and their collaboration on security policy that “supersedes national governments” to protect common borders.
