World War II Author and Nurse Passes Away

Mildred A. MacGregor, former military nurse and author of World War II Front Line Nurse, passed away at the age of 100 on Wednesday, February 13th. From late 1942 to the end of the war, MacGregor served with the 298th General Hospital, which was comprised of medical professionals from the University of Michigan Hospital. Stationed in England, North Africa, France, and Germany, she wrote about her experiences treating soldiers on D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge, as well as concentration camp survivors at Buchenwald.
