Congratulations to Best-Selling Author Mardi Link
University of Michigan Press author Mardi Link is on the Michigan Bestsellers List twice for the month of July -- once for U-M Press' book Wicked Takes the Witness Stand and again with a book by another publisher.
Wicked Takes the Witness Stand (2014) describes the true story of the still unsolved 1986 murder of Jerry Tobias in Gaylord and the ensuing trial that sucked state police and local officials into a morass of perjury and cover-up and ultimately led to the separate conviction and imprisonment of five innocent men.
Her two other books with the press are also true crime stories – When Evil Came to Good Hart, and Isadore’s Secret.
