New Series Editor for Theater: Theory/Text/Performance

The University of Michigan Press welcomes Jen Parker-Starbuck as she joins the book series Theater: Theory/Text/Performance as co-editor. Parker-Starbuck is Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, and former Executive Dean of the School of Performing Arts and Digital Media. Her books include Cyborg Theatre: Corporeal/Technological Intersections in Multimedia Performance; Performance and Media: Taxonomies for a Changing Field; and Performing Animality: Animals in Performance Practices. She served as Editor of Theatre Journal from 2015–2019 and is Contributing Editor to PAJ, the International Journal of Performing Arts and Digital Media, and Advisory Board member of Antennae: The Journal of Nature in Visual Culture. Parker-Starbuck replaces Rebecca Schneider, who is stepping down from the series that she that she has co-edited with David Krasner and Harvey Young. Theater: Theory/Text/Performance was launched in 1988 by University of Michigan faculty member Enoch Brater and has to date published more than 100 titles across a wide range of subjects.
