The Deep Blue document repository provides worldwide, free access to some of the best research U-M has to offer. As part of Michigan Publishing (the publishing division of the U-M Library) it provides a trusted hosting option for University of Michigan faculty members and graduate students who wish to make their work discoverable and citable over the long term. In 2017 the 115,000 items in Deep Blue documents were downloaded 10.8 million times. Where do MacArthur “Genius Award” winners, Fellows of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, top physicians, scientists, engineers, and humanists gather on a Michigan fall evening? At the University of Michigan’s Faculty Awards Dinner, of course, where President Mark Schlissel and Provost Martha Pollack presented handsome certificates to the brightest and best of the University’s professoriate. We’re excited to announce the launch of a redesigned www.digitalculture.org, which seeks to be a portal to enriched books in new media studies and digital humanities. digitalculturebooks strives to create a media-rich context for its titles, and to provide readers options for access—for free online or for sale in print.
