Paul Combs, jazz musician and author of the recently published Dameronia: The Life and Music of Tadd Dameron, contributed to a recent feature on the life and music of bebop composer Tadd Dameron on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” As noted in the piece, Dameron, who was born into a musical family in Cleveland in 1917, “worked with everyone who was anyone in jazz, from Miles Davis to Artie Shaw, Count Basie to John Coltrane.”
