Congratulations to Nikki Usher on winning the Tankard Book Award for Making News at the New York Times. The Tankard Book Award is given to a piece of well-written and ground-breaking scholarship relevant to journalism and mass communication. It is the book of the year award at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. The Tankard Book Award was conceived as a way to both honor Dr. James W. Tankard, Jr. , who was admired for his journalism scholarship, creativity, and character, and to celebrate books written by AEJMC members. You can find more information about the book here.
