University of Michigan Press editorial director Mary Francis discussed theDigital Rhetoric Collaborative and Making Space, two projects and initiatives that are geared towards expanding, exploring, and refining the online space where people collaborate on writing projects. The Press, MPublishing, and the Gayle Morris Sweetland Center for Writing launch new Digital Rhetoric Collaborative book series, book prize, and website

The University of Michigan Press, MPublishing, and the University of Michigan’s Gayle Morris Sweetland Center for Writing have formed a partnership to launch the Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative (DRC), which will publish a series of born-digital or digitally enhanced books on digital rhetoric; award an annual prize of $5,000 for the best book published in the series; and host a website by and for teachers and scholars working in digital rhetoric that will feature a curated blog, offer a resources section and wiki, and serve as a forum for conversations on digital rhetoric and related topics.
